World’s Most Beautiful Abandoned Places

Italian product manager and web designer Francesco Mugnai recently added a collection of images to his blog touting some of the most beautiful images of abandoned spots and modern ruins that he’d ever seen. The images Mugnai has captured come from empty castles, shuttered power plants, and dilapidated churches around the world. From a sunken yacht in Antarctica to a forever-closed amusement park in Japan, these images all make up a sort of anti-phoenix; rather than rising as new from the ashes, these husks remain preserved in decomposition, forcing viewers to confront the strange beauty of ruination.

Dereliction can be so pretty :)

Off topic, but these pictures are cool

So it was brought to my attention that Frank Alexander, 2Pac’s bodyguard in 1996, was found dead on April 30th of this year. Ever since Pac died, Big Frank made it his mission to get the story out on Pac’s murder, seeing how he was there when Pac was shot. He did interviews, he was in documentaries & he wrote books recounting the event & shedding some light on the most possible theory of the murder of Tupac Shakur. Not only was he Pac’s personal bodyguard, he was Pac’s truest friend. After Pac died, not only did he do everything he could to help bring justice to his friend & his family, but he also did everything he could to make sure that the legacy of his friend lived on. It’s sad to see that he’s gone, but on the bright side, at the very least he & Pac are finally reunited & we should at the very least be humbled by that…unless you’re one of those wackos who think Pac is still alive & are probably like “Ha, Frank is gonna be surprised when he gets to his life after death & find Pac’s not there because he’s still alive”, but I digress. Also at the very least, Frank probably knows who killed Pac now. & I say this because of what Frank said at the end of Tupac Assassination, where he says that when we die, our lives are replayed for us. & that when he dies & that moment of revelation happens, only then will he know who killed Pac. Rest In Peace Big Frank :’(

Yo, I had no idea he passed. Damn..
